Song Of The Waterkeepers

40” x 24” | acrylic on canvas | 2025

In this piece I decided to show how I imagined the snails may look when they are alive. They are foraging on the surface amid evidence of all their past generations floating back through time. Joining them are tiny long-toed salamanders who live in their ecosystem and also depend on the desert water resource they inhabit. The imagery continues across the 1.5” gallery wrapped sides.
